Essex-Middle River Crime: Cash, Jewelry Taken in Burglaries

Eastern Boulevard, 1700 block. Between 5 p.m., Feb. 3 and 12:30 a.m., Feb. 4. A PlayStation 3, copy of "Madden NFL 13" and a remote control were stolen from an apartment's living room. The front door was locked, but the deadbolt was not locked.

Strawflower Road, 1400 block. 6:50 p.m., Feb. 2. Two men approached a woman. One asked for the time, then attacked. Both men went through her pockets and took $20, a cell phone, a bank card and identification.

Foxwood Road and Foxchase Lane. 1:04 a.m., Feb. 2. Two men walking home were jumped by two men and each was stabbed several times. Both victims were taken to Shock Trauma. One told police the attackers took CDs and a bank card.

Olivia Road, 7100 block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Feb. 1. Someone used a rock to break glass on a rear basement door. Police say the burglar then crawled through the door and stole a gold necklace and rings from the home's bedroom.

Commodore Drive, 100 block. Between 7 and 8:30 a.m., Feb. 1. Someone entered a garage via a side door and took a bicycle, golf clubs and a generator.

Compass Road, 600 block. 3:44 p.m., Jan. 30. Two boys approached two victims. One took a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones from one victim, the other boy took an iPod from the other. A police detective in the area for observation saw the incident and arrested two juveniles, according to a police report.

Oakland Road, 2100 block. Between 11:40 p.m., Jan. 30 and 1:30 a.m., Jan. 31. Someone opened a front window to a home's bedroom and took a grey plastic safe containing $8,000 in $100 bills.

Garden Drive, 900 block. Between 4 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., Jan. 30. Someone broke into an apartment and took $2,630, six pairs of shoes, an Xbox, four Xbox games, two pairs of jeans and four watches. The total value of the stolen items, including the money, was $5,030, according to a police report.

Cunning Circle, 7100 block. Between 6:55 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., Jan. 29. A fire safe, $500, six watches, a Blackberry tablet and men's gold bracelet were stolen. The rear sliding glass door had been broken with a brick, according to a police report.

Endsleigh Avenue, 300 block. Between 3 p.m., Jan. 25 and 3 p.m., Jan. 28. Someone cut the lock to a shed and took two welders.

Franklin Avenue, 500 block. Between Jan. 7 and 5 p.m., Jan. 28. Someone removed the lock to a shed and took three chainsaws and three bicycles.

Vincent Farm Lane, 10500 block. Between 3 p.m., Jan. 23 and 10 a.m., Jan. 28. Someone entered a home through the back door, flooded the basement and spray painted kitchen cabinets.

Pulaski Highway, 9800 block. Between 4 p.m., Jan. 25 and 8:23 a.m., Jan. 28. Someone cut locks to break through a fence at Miller Brothers Electrical and took three chainsaws, copper grounds and a drill from cars.

Compass Road, 700 block. Between noon, Jan. 25 and 8 a.m., Jan. 28. At Park View at Miramar, someone took a snowblower from a storage room.

Eastern Boulevard, 3000 block. 10:53 a.m., Jan. 27. Someone entered a shop, brandished a knife and took $236.89 from the cash drawer before fleeing through the back of the store.
