Essex-Middle River Crime: Burglar Enters Second-Floor Window, Takes Cash, Electronics

Tace Drive, 1100 block. Between 5 and 11 p.m., Oct. 14. An Xbox 360, Hewlett-Packard laptop, Armani watch and $500 cash were stolen. Police believe the intruder entered via an unlocked window on the second floor.

Middleborough Road, 2000 block. 4:25 a.m., Oct. 15. Two intruders stole $100 from a home after breaking in through a basement window. The intruders were discovered by a resident. One of the burglars struck him in the forehead before running out of the front door.
Eastern Boulevard, 700 block. 3:21 a.m., Oct. 15. At the Crown station, an intruder shattered glass to unlock a door. The burglar ransacked the register area and destroyed shelves, taking three packs of Newport cigarettes and $50 in various tobacco products.

Chadford Court, unit block. Between 9 a.m. and 6:20 p.m., Oct. 13. A burglar stole $60 and a coin bank after entering a home through the rear basement window.
Mansfield Road and Route 702. 11:56 p.m., Oct. 12. On a footbridge, a robber approached a man from behind, placed him in a chokehold and demanded his Nike shoes. The victim complied, and the man fled toward Back River Neck Road.
Country Ridge Lane, 1500 block. Between 4:24 and 8 a.m., Oct. 12. Two air conditioning units were damaged, and wires to security cameras were cut. The cameras were not recording.
Punjab Drive, 1100 block. 8:25 p.m., Oct. 11. A Domino's Pizza delivery driver, who had just completed a delivery, was approached by three men with silver handguns. They demanded that he empty his pockets. The robbers took $19 in cash and change.
Eastern Boulevard, 3000 block. Between 10:05 p.m., Oct. 10 and 1:35 a.m., Oct. 11. At Chesapeake Mini Storage, a lock was cut off a unit that was going to be auctioned because of unpaid rent. Police believe the unit's renter was responsible.
Stemmers Run Road, 700 block. Between 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., Oct. 11. At Lamp Lighters, an intruder broke into storage containers and took street signs.
