Essex Man's Body Recovered From Frog Mortar Creek

Sherman Emitt Walden went missing in Frog Mortar Creek Tuesday.

The body of an Essex man was recovered from Frog Mortar Creek early Thursday morning.

Natural Resources Police and Baltimore County Police found the body of 57-year-old Sherman Emmit Walden around 10 a.m. Thursday after search operations were suspended on Tuesday and Wednesday because of darkness, Natural Resources Police said.

WBAL reported that Walden went missing during an outing with friends on Frog Mortar Creek, a tributary of Middle River.

According to the report, Walden jumped into the water to assist two swimmers when he was separated from the boat.
