An Essex man was arrested last week for allegedly robbing an acquaintance at knifepoint.
The incident happened last Tuesday, Jan. 22, between 1 and 2:24 p.m. on North Marlyn Avenue, near where that road crosses over Maryland Route 702.
The robber approached a man, robbed him at knifepoint and punched him several times in the face, according to a police report. The robber stole $255 in cash.
Michael Ray Mullins, who the victim identified as an acquaintance, was arrested the next day, Jan. 23, and released later that same day on $150,000 bail. The 18-year-old Mullins, of the 800 block of Arncliffe Road, is charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault and theft.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 27 at district court in Towson, according to online court records.
