Essex Crime: Walgreens Cashier Robbed at Gunpoint

A 16-year-old girl was robbed at gunpoint while working as a cashier Thursday at a in Middle River.

The robber entered the pharmacy, located on the 400 block of Compass Road, at around 7:45 p.m, according to police reports. The male suspect displayed a handgun in his waistband and ordered the cashier to give him all the money.

The victim told police the robber fled with $240 and was last seen running toward Compass Road.

Police said the suspect is approximately 25 years old, 5-foot-8, 150-160 pounds. He wore a green jacket with a hooded sweatshirt over his head, along with metal frame glasses and clear latex gloves.

Old Eastern Avenue, 2200 block, 3-6:30 p.m.. Oct. 29. A GPS, camera, DVD player, watch, two rings and $1,200 were taken from a home. Total loss was $4,250.

Earhart Road, 1700 block, Oct. 23-27. Ther sheds of three homes along the same block were broken into. A power drill was taken from one of the sheds and various unknown items taken from the others.

Punjab Drive, 1200 block, 7:10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct 26. A desktop computer and a laptop computer were stolen after entry was gained to a home through a kitchen window. Total loss was $270.

Driftwood Court, unit block, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., Oct. 25-26. A laptop computer and $100 were stolen from a home after rntry was gained through a rear window. Total loss was $380.

Box Circle, unit block, 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 25. Jewelry was stolen from a home after a rear kitchen window was broken to enter the house. Total loss was $7,800.

Old Eastern Avenue, 1500 block, 4 p.m., Oct. 25, 4 p.m. A circular saw and a can of paint were stolen from a shed at St. Stephens Academy and Learning Center. Total loss qwas $115.

Foxwood Lane, 1000 block, 8:45-10:30 a.m., Oct 24. A 1994 Saturn, two laptops and a 52-inch TV were stolen from a home. Entry was gained through a rear basement window and the car keys were taken from the residence.

Bengies Road, 900 block, Oct. 21-23: An air conditioning unit was stolen and copper cut out of a vacant home. Total loss was $1,200.
