Essex Crime: Thieves Target Money, Jewelry, AC Unit

May 11: First-degree assault, Unit block of Glenwood Road
At 9:50 a.m., the victim reported that he was assaulted and stabbed by two known suspects inside a laundry room.
May 9: First-degree burglary, Unit block of Transverse Avenue

Between 9 a.m. and 2:20 p.m., an unknown suspect cut a screen to enter an open window. Money, electronics, jewelry and miscellaneous property were taken.
May 7: Robbery, Mansfield Road and Route 702

At 12:50 a.m., the victim was assaulted by several suspects as he crossed the footbridge. The suspects took his wallet. All four suspects are black males, 18 to 21 years old, 6-foot and 140 pounds.
May 7: First-degree burglary, 600 block of Nollmeyer Road
Between noon and 3 p.m., an unknown suspect broke a rear window and took money, jewelry and a revolver.
May 3 to May 5: Fourth-degree burglary, 400 block of Eastern Boulevard
Between 4:30 p.m. on May 3 and noon on May 5, an unknown suspect took an air-conditioning unit from Free State Products.
