Essex Crime: Police Investigate Three Armed Robberies

The unrelated crimes took place over five days.

Baltimore County Police are investigating three unrelated armed robberies that  occurred over the last week in the Essex-Middle River area.

According to police reports, a 15-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint around 1:15 a.m., Sunday, as he waited for a bus at the intersection of Stemmers Run Road and Old Eastern Avenue near the .

The boy told police that he was approached by two unknown men wearing ski masks. One of the men appeared to have a gun and the other displayed a black folding knife. The suspects allegedly took the boy’s cell phone and $12 before they ran eastbound toward Old Eastern Avenue.

Around 11:45 p.m., Friday, a 47-year-old man was robbed while in his apartment, located on the 800 block of Brunswick Road. In this incident, police reported that three men knocked on the victim’s door and said they were from maintenance.

When the man answered, the suspects forced their way inside and put a gun to the victim’s head and demanded money. The suspects escaped with $30, Oxycodon and three packs of cigarettes.

The final robbery occurred around 5 a.m., Oct. 12 when two men were robbed at gunpoint at the intersection of Bayner and Sandalwood roads.

According to police reports, two male suspects approached the victims, ages 45 and 41, as they stood waiting for a bus. One of the suspects displayed a gun while the other suspect went through the victims’ pockets.

The suspects escaped after they took two wallets, two sets of keys and a cell phone.
