Body Found in Back River Still Unidentified

Baltimore County police said the male victim found floating Thursday does not match the description of anyone reported missing.

Baltimore County police have still not been able to identify the .

According to a news release, preliminary autopsy results showed that the victim is a white male, 40 years old or older, approximately 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds. He showed no signs of injury.

In addition, there were no scars, marks or tattoos that could assist police in identifying the victim, the release continued. Also, police said, the man may have worn dentures, as he had no teeth in his upper jaw.

According to reporting by WMAR, workers in the Diamond Point Road and Oriole Avenue area, behind the shuttered Diamond Point Shopping Center, called police at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday after finding a body floating in the river.

Police believe the victim, who does not match the description of anyone who has been reported missing, may have been from the area where he was found, according to the news release.

Police are also asking the public for assistance in identifying the man and are encouraging the public to check on friends, neighbors and/or relatives who may match the victim's description.
