Body Found Floating in Wilson Point

Police have sent the unidentified body to the Office of the State Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Baltimore County police are investigating the death of a person found late Tuesday morning floating in a creek near Wilson Point State Park.

Detective Cathy Batton, a police spokeswoman, said investigators were called to the park, located at 950 Beech Drive, at 11:26 a.m. after someone called 911 to report finding the body in the water.

The county's marine and homicide units responded to the scene before having the body transported the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy, Batton said

Batton said no additional details were available, including the sex of the victim.
