Body Found Floating in Middle River Creek Identified

Denis Escobar-Romero, 29, was reported missing nearly a month before boaters found his body in Dark Head Creek.

Baltimore County police have, near Wilson Point State Park in Middle River.

The victim was Denis Escobar-Romero, 29, of the 100 block of S. Chester Street, police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said.

Boaters discovered his body around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 28, nearly a month after Escobar-Romero was reported missing on Jan. 30, Batton said.

It remains unclear how he died or how he ended up in the water. The Officer of the State Medical Examiner is still awaiting the toxicology report, Batton said.

"There were no signs of foul play," Batton said.
