Baltimore Man Charged With Attempted Burglary

The incident happened Sunday at an Essex apartment.

A Baltimore man was arrested Sunday after allegedly trying to break into an Essex home.

The incident happened in the unit block of Sharondale Way at 7:20 Sunday morning. According to a police report, the man, later identified as Vaughn Phyall, attempted to break into an apartment using a crowbar, but was unsuccessful.

Later that day, police arrested 43-year-old Phyall, of the 1100 block of Ramblewood Road in Baltimore City. He is charged with fourth-degree burglary, attempted fourth-degree burglary, attempted first-degree burglary and destruction of property. He was released on his own recognizance, according to online court records. No court date has yet been set in the case.
