Arrests Made in Thefts from Vehicles Spree

Two men and a juvenile were charged in the case, which included thefts from seven vehicles.

Two men and a juvenile were arrested Wednesday after driving around neighborhoods in northeastern Baltimore County stealing items from unlocked vehicles, according to Baltimore County Police.

The incidents spanned neighborhoods from Dundalk to Parkville, including Middle River, Rosedale and Overlea, White Marsh precinct Capt.  Michael Balog told Patch.

A witness to one of the thefts called police with description of the supects and the license plate number of the 2001 Chevrolet Malibu they were driving. Officers responded to Poles Road in Essex, where they located the vehicle, according to a police report.

Subsequently, police arrested James Pietro of Essex and Jose Ches of Sparrows Point. The men were charged in seven thefts from automobiles that took place that night.  A third individual was also arrested and charged as a juvenile, according to the police report.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine if the men might have previously stolen from other vehicles in the area.
