Arrangements Set for Community Outreach Officer

Baltimore County Police officer Shannon Gentry, who died last week, will be buried Wednesday.

Baltimore County police officer Shannon Gentry, , will be buried Wednesday at Dulaney Valley Memorial Garden.

Viewings for Gentry, a community outreach officer based at the Essex Precinct, will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at Evans Funeral Home, 3 Newport Drive in Forest Hill.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1100 Philadelphia Rd. in Joppa. Burial at Dulaney Valley Memorial Garden will take place following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harford County SPCA or The Sunshine Kids Foundation.

Gentry, an 11-year veteran of the department, was found dead in her home Wednesday. No foul play is suspected, Baltimore County Police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said.
