Watersedge Festival, Baltimore Book Festival and More

Plenty of things to do in and around town this weekend.

1. Watersedge Festival

Where/When: 8278 Bullneck Rd. Friday,  6 pm to 10 pm; Saturday, 2 pm to 10 pm; Sunday, 2 pm to 9 pm.

Why Go: From the festival's Facebook page: "The waterfront Festival consists of carnival rides, arts and crafts, games of chance, raffles, lots of delicious food, and non-stop live music on stage, all weekend long. Take part in a long standing Dundalk tradition."

2. Baltimore Book Festival

Where/When: Mount Vernon Place, Baltimore. Friday, noon to 8 pm; Saturday, noon to 8 pm; Sunday, noon to 7 pm.

Why Go: More than 100 authors, including Baltimore's own Laura Lippman. Live music, food, readings, books and authors.

3. High Zero Festival

Where/When: 45 W. Preston St., Baltimore. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Check website for schedule.

Why Go: 13th annual festival of experimental music has received national recognition for improvised, experimental music.

4. Greek Festival

Where/When: , 2504 Cub Hill Road in Cub Hill, holds the 38th annual Greek Festival, which runs Sept. 22-25According to the festival website, the party begins at 5 p.m. Thursday and runs through 8 p.m. Sunday.

Why Go: Silent auctions, live music, authentic Greek food, beer, wine and soda, folk dance, and even a kid's zone are some of the activities going on this weekend.

5. Party on the Plaza

Where/When: , 7-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Why Go: Enjoy this outdoor concert. Junkyard Saints performs on Friday and Donegal XPress performs on Saturday.
