Speak Out: Who Should Be Time Magazine's Person of the Year 2012?

The nominees are in for 2012, so who do you think Time Magazine should choose? And why?

On Dec. 14, Time magazine will announce its Person of the Year — which isn’t guaranteed to be an actual man or woman.

But in the run-up, the magazine has invited votes on 40 candidates, including Barack Obama, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un.

Some people have as many votes against them as for them. Included in the options are The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle.

Here are the finalists:

Kim Jong Un Jon Stewart Mohamed Morsi Undocumented Immigrants Malala Yousafzai Stephen Colbert Aung San Suu Kyi and Thein Sein Gabby Douglas Hillary Clinton Chris Christie Ai Weiwei Bashar Assad Sheldon Adelson Roger Goodell Psy The Mars Rover E.L. James Barack Obama Felix Baumgartner The Higgs Boson Particle Pussy Riot Bill Clinton Sandra Fluke Michael Phelps Mitt Romney Joe Biden John Roberts Mo Farah Benjamin Netanyahu Marissa Mayer Michael Bloomberg Paul Ryan Jay-Z Tim Cook Mario Draghi Xi Jinping Bo Xilai Karl Rove

So if it was up to you, who would you choose as the 2012 Time Person of the Year? And Why? (It doesn't have to be someone on the list)

I'm picking Marissa Mayer...she's leading more than just a company.

triumvirates of either COL-bert, stewart, and maher...or Mo, Xi, and Bo (not my favorite BO)

I felt sure I would see 47 percenters on this list, given the liberal media bias on such things...

They're already getting free phones, healthcare, food and housing, collecting unemployment benefits and got their gift giving sugar daddy president back in office, now you think they should get this too? Give it to Rove, he needs something to make him feel better (besides Republican "math.")

I vote for The United States Military.
