What Are You Thankful For in 2011?

Essex-Middle River Patch is getting into the holiday spirit.

What are you thankful for as we approach the holiday season?

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas is a little more than a month away. With the holiday comes time for reflection on what is truly important in your world.

Several residents in the Essex-Middle River area have already posted their thoughts on Facebook or Twitter.

Paul Rufe, owner of in Essex, didn't need to think twice about what he is most thankful for.

"No doubt about it, I am most thankful for my family, friends and my faith in God," Rufe wrote.

Another area resident, Doris Kuhar, also is glad to have a great family, including great-grandchildren, and strong faith to lean on during this time of year.

"I am thankful for still being here to see my grandchildren marry and now having children," she wrote. "Good health, still able to work everyday. I thank God for watching over us and trying to keep us on the right path."
