PHOTOS: White Marsh Mall Steel Arch Removal

If you have been to the mall in the last week you have likely noticed many exciting changes occurring.

Most notably our entrance facelift has begun with the removal of the outdated steel arches. The arches at 2 of the 3 entrances have been removed; the Food Court arches will be the last to go. As you can imagine removing these gigantic arches is no easy feat. They each weigh approximately 17 tons, which is equivalent to 5 elephants!! We want to give you the insider’s view of the removal process, so check out the attached photos and stay tuned for a video in the next few days. It is hard to believe that all this work is done at night while we are fast asleep.

Painting in the Food Court is still moving full-steam ahead and the results are looking great. The painting is expected to be complete by next Friday.   

The entire White Marsh Mall refresh project will be complete by the end of August, just in time for the busy back to school shopping season. We are in the process of planning a great celebration once the refresh is complete- so stay tuned for details!
