Boscov’s Raises $25,000 During Gala Preview Event at White Marsh Mall!

Boscov’s reopened their doors this past weekend with a terrific celebration that benefited not only the White Marsh Mall shoppers, but also many local charities and non-profit groups. On Friday, shoppers were lined up to get a first hand look at the new store. By making a $5 donation to a charity of their choice, 100% of which was passed on to the organizations, shoppers were able to take advantage of the sales before the rest of the public. The numbers have been tallied and Boscov store officials report that donations came to a total of $25,000!  We want to thank everyone who came out and made the Friday sneak-peek non-profit gala a huge success!

On Sunday, the weather forced us to move the festivities inside but that did not take away from our fantastic line-up of events including the Perry Hall High School Marching Band, an appearance by Oscar-winning actress and singer Shirley Jones, a $1000 dollar donation to The United Way of Maryland from Boscov’s and a wonderful ribbon cutting ceremony.  The cooking demonstration by Texas Top Chef contestant Lindsey Autrey was a big hit and I certainly learned a few things about making a fantastic, but easy meal!

At 2pm and 7pm, Shirley Jones took the stage in front of a standing room only crowd inside the Boscov’s auditorium. The shows were incredible, so if you missed her this weekend be sure to come in this week to catch a performance. She’ll be performing twice daily at 2pm and 7pm.  But don’t wait! Shows will only be going on until the 13th.  In addition to these fantastic performances, the great sales and honest pricing that Boscov’s is known for will continue throughout the holiday season. Over the weekend the store sold 5,000 $3 pashminas!  But don’t worry- there are sure to be plenty of other great sales going on every day at our newest anchor store!
