Events this week at CCBC Essex - March 3-9, 2012

CCBC Essex offers a myriad of entertaining and enlightening events this upcoming week in March. Enjoy! On March 10-11 consider journeying to CCBC Catonsville for the 11th Annual CCBC Women's Expo.

March 2012 events at CCBC Essex entertain and enlighten

March 3-4, 10-11, 17-18 – CCBC Essex
Children’s Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. presents “A Year with Frog and Toad”
1 p.m., weekends March 3 through March 18 and 4 p.m., March 11J Building Lecture Hall, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard This delightful musical is based on the Frog and Toad children's stories written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel.  Let your children enjoy the adventures of a worrywart toad and a perky frog, with their assorted woodland companions, over the course of a year. 
Tickets are $10 general admission; $8 for CCBC students, faculty, staff. Tickets are available through the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787) or online at www.ccbcmd.edu/performingarts.

March 5 – College Fair 2012
6-8 p.m.
CCBC Essex, D Building, Athletics and Wellness Center, 7201 Rossville Boulevard

CCBC and the Baltimore County Public Schools again co-sponsor College Fair for high school students and their parents.  More than 100 colleges, universities, proprietary and military schools are expected to be represented at this annual event.  In case of inclement weather, call 443-840-1711 to see if the event is being held.
Free.  No tickets required.

March 8 – CCBC Essex
CCBC Continuing Education Symposium – The Future of Eldercare:  Alternatives in Culture and Care
8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., J-137, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard. 
This symposium, supported by U.S. Department of Labor Community-Based Job Training Grant, is for Assisted Living and Long Term Care administrators, Nurse educators and Human Resources personnel in those facilities by invitation only.  Dr. Jonah Ronch, dean of the Master’s program at the Erickson School at UMBC, will deliver the Keynote address.  For more information or to register, email futureofeldercare@ccbcmd.edu or call Irid Naver, RN,  program specialist, 443-840-2035.
