CCBC Honors 23 Retired/Retiring Faculty Members with Emeritus Status
Emeritus recognition include seven faculty and professional staff who have been with CCBC for 40 or more years.
The Community College of Baltimore County inducted 24 retired/retiring faculty members into the ranks of Emeritus Professor in ceremonies held Thursday, May 24 at CCBC Catonsville.
Board of Trustee Chairwoman The Honorable Barbara Kerr Howe, along with President Sandra L. Kurtinitis and Vice President for Instruction Mark McColloch presented the Emeriti medallions.
Emeritus status can be granted only to retired college employees or those retiring as of June 30 of the current academic year. Candidates must have a distinguished career, one which has been deemed outstanding when compared to other employees with similar career requirements.

His or her efforts have also contributed to helping improve the strength, growth and integrity of the college. This designation requires the approval of the CCBC Board of Trustees.
