Premiere Screening of “The Monuments Men” to benefit the Myerberg Center

Admission:
$20 per seat

Movie lovers and history buffs are invited to the Baltimore premiere of “The Monuments Men” at the newly renovated and reopened Pikes Theatre. This Baltimore showing is a fundraising event to benefit the Edward A. Myerberg Center, which provides educational and recreational programming and social services for older adults. The film opens to the general public later in the day on February 7. 

“The Monuments Men,” based on the book by Robert M. Edsel and directed by George Clooney, follows an unlikely World War II platoon tasked with rescuing art masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners. The star-studded cast includes Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, and John Goodman.

A light breakfast will be served at 9:00 am with the movie showing beginning at 10:00 am. Seating for the event is limited; participants are encouraged to register early. For more information and reservations, contact Jennifer Steinhurst at (410) 358-6856 or Jennifer@myerberg.org.

Located in northwest Baltimore, the Edward A. Myerberg Center provides over 150 enriching programs each year for 1,200 adults ages 55 and over, including classes in painting, sculpture, current events, technology and fitness. The Center’s Eating Together program is the largest in Baltimore City and serves 11,000 meals each year to seniors.
