Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association 75th Anniversary Celebration

The Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association invites all to help celebrate the 75th anniversary of its founding in 1938.

The event promises "family, friends, history, events, food and fun," according to organizers.

The day will celebrate the "joy of living in Bowleys Quarters" and will also mark the 10th anniversary of Tropical Storm isabel and the havoc it wreaked on the waterfront community.

Organizers will thank those who helped the community when it needed it the most, including the Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department, Red Cross, St. matthew's Luthran Church, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore County Emergency management, Marshy Point nature Center, Piney grove United methodist Church, Gunpwoder Valley Conservancy, Baltimore County Police Department and Maryland Marine Police.
