Aviation Fun at Open Cockpit Day

Sit in the pilot's seat of a jet fighter. Board a 1952 passenger airliner that rolled off the assembly line in Middle River. Enjoy a beautiful summer day of aviation history at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum's Open Cockpit Day for less than a tank of gas away from home and at a budget friendly admission fee of only $3 for adults and $1 for children. Parking is free.

In addition to enjoying a very up close visit to the Museum's aircraft at the outdoor Strawberry Point flightline, visitors can see the newest Museum exhibits in the air conditioned galleries including "They Answered the Call" which is a tribute to the WWII era employees of the Glenn L. Martin Company. Exhibits also include a large model of Glenn L.  Martin's first aircraft, and a model of the Seamaster, a Martin jet seaplane remembered by many local residents.

In the event of wet weather or excessive heat, the open cockpit experience will not be offered. 410-682-6122 www.mdairmuseum.org
