Severe Weather Warning Issued: Hail and High Winds

Hail and winds in excess of 60 mph possible.



The National Weather Service issued a severe weather warning late Sunday afternoon for Baltimore County, including the Essex and Middle River areas.

According to the National Weather Service warning, approaching severe thunderstorms could produce hail the size of quarters and winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.

From the National Weather Service for the 21222 zip code: "Scattered thunderstorms before 9 p.m., then isolated showers and thunderstorms between 9pm and midnight. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. North wind between 6 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms."
