UPDATE: Plowing Complete on Essex Roads

Baltimore County crews salted the roads first, according to officials.

UPDATE (9:30 p.m.)—After a wintry mix poured down on Essex Monday, crews worked to clear the roads throughout the day.

Baltimore County officials reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. that plowing in the eastern part of the county was 30 percent complete.

By 5 p.m. Monday, the plowing was complete countywide.

The State Highway Administration advised drivers to turn their lights and windshield wipers on and to be especially careful around pedestrians, bridges, overpasses and infrequently traveled roads.
