More Rain in the Forecast for Essex-Middle River

The area is bracing for more precipitation following flooding on Friday.

has become a regular occurrence in Baltimore County over the last month.

The Essex-Middle River area is no exception, with the latest coming Friday night along Pulaski Highway as motorists dealt with fast-rising waters, as WJZ-TV reported.

Firefighters in Baltimore County responded to 16 calls for people in trouble because of the flooding Friday night, according to WJZ. Many motorists didn’t realize how deep the water was until it was too late.

Could even more flooding be on the way?

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Monday with a 70 percent chance of precipitation on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service is also forecasting a chance of showers on Wednesday before the weather clears up toward the end of the week.

Here is the seven-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: A 20 percent of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. with a high near 80.

Tuesday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after noon with a high near 78.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers with a high near 78, low around 65.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 77, low around 66.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75, low around 50.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62, low around 46.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 66.
