Are You Headed to the Super Bowl?

Travel packages to New Orleans are going fast.

As Ray Lewis makes his "last ride" with the Baltimore Ravens en route to the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, hundreds of Ravens fans are tagging along for the trip.

The Baltimore Sun reported yesterday that eager Ravens fans—including the fan known at games as Carne Cabeza—are snapping up hotel rooms and travel packages for New Orleans.

All Southwest Airlines service out of BWI Airport around Super Bowl weekend is booked, and JetBlue Airways is evaluating demand for additional flights on its special service from BWI to New Orleans, the newspaper reported.

The team's own travel packages—which include a same-day chartered flight plan or three days in the New Orleans area—run into the thousands of dollars, with a single upper-level seat at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome costing over $2,000 alone.

ABC News reports that deals on rooms and rental homes may come to those who wait. It's flights that may be harder to come by.
