“Having experienced the parent, administrative and most recently, teaching side of the Montessori philosophy over the past 17 years, I am excited to finally be able to bring all of those aspects together into a beautiful, child-centered environment that will touch the lives and learning of young children just as my own children’s lives have so prominently been touched by their Montessori education,” said Melodie Piechocki-Sachs, Co-Owner and Head of School.

This specialized form of education was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Unlike traditional teaching methods, this style provides students with an interactive approach to learning that focuses on independent problem solving, self-discovery and nature intensive learning. This teaching method has become extremely popular over the last one hundred years and has proliferated worldwide. Approximately 7,000 Montessori schools operate around the world.

“I am excited about this opportunity to have a school in the community that we have lived in for the last 19 years,” said Timothy Sachs, Co-Owner and Business Manager. “It has been a labor love, from the purchase of the property, the numerous inspections, zoning and finally the certification process. After seeing my children raised in a Montessori environment, I saw the benefits of this type of education. ”
