Distinguished Toastmaster Barbara Makowiecki

Barbara Makowiecki, member of MedStar Franklin Square Toastmasters Club, has received the Distinguished Toastmaster Award.  This is the highest award bestowed upon members which recognizes both communication and leadership skills.  To be eligible for the award, a member must have both the Advanced Communicator Gold and the Advanced Leader Silver Award.

Barbara is a resident of Abingdon, and is employed as a finance manager at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.  In addition to being married to her husband, Dave, she is the mother of two young children.  Barbara joined Toastmasters in 2008, and enjoys the creative aspect of delivering a speech, as well as teaching and mentoring others.  

Toastmasters International is an organization where members improve their speaking and leadership skills.  Division B of District 18 Toastmasters covers parts of Baltimore County and City, as well as Harford and Cecil County.  MedStar Franklin Square Toastmasters is a community club that is held at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm.  For more information visit http://1224847.toastmastersclubs.org/
