Powerball: What Would You Do with $425 Million?

If you're feeling especially lucky today, perhaps you should make a point of buying a Powerball ticket.

The multi-state lottery game's jackpot is up to a whopping $425 million, making it the third-largest payout in the game's history and the fourth-largest in the nation's lottery history, according to lottery officials.

When no one hit the jackpot Saturday night, the pot rolled up to $400 million but was raised another $25 million Tuesday afternoon. The cash option would pay $244.7 million to one lucky winner.

"It is not expected to go up again before tomorrow night's drawing," Maryland lottery spokeswoman Erica Palmisano said of the jackpot in a statement issued Tuesday.

To win the jackpot, players must match all five regular numbers and the Powerball number.

Tonight's drawing will be held at 11:22 p.m. and may be viewed on WBAL-TV, Channel 11.

Winning numbers are posted in the Maryland Lottery website.
