Powerball: $1M Winning Ticket Sold in Maryland

Three winning tickets for the $448 million jackpot were sold—two in New Jersey and one in Minnesota.

At least three people across the country woke up this morning a lot wealthier than they were this time yesterday.

Three winning tickets were sold for last night's Powerball jackpot worth $448 million. Two winning tickets were sold in New jersey and one was sold in Minnesota, according to Maryland lottery officials.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were 5, 25, 30, 58 and 59, with the Powerball number of 32.

One person who bought a ticket in Calvert County should be happy with his or her prize of $1 million. The holder of that second-tier winning ticket matched all five regular numbers but missed out on the Powerball number.

Maryland is just one of five states among the 43 states participating in Powerball that allows winners to remain anonymous, according to the Chicago Tribune.
