White Marsh Mall Preps for Major Renovations, New Stores

Recent investments in shopping centers across Baltimore County are a mixed bag. While legal disputes have pushed to the auction block, an $85 million entertainment and shopping complex is planned for the Towson area, known as .

So, what's driving the transformation at White Marsh Mall?

According to mall general manager Lisa Bisenius, "The growth is a result of the BRAC [Aberdeen Proving Ground's Base Realignment and Closure program] in Harford County, which is our trade area. Additionally, this is part of a multi-pronged strategic plan aimed at improving center shopability including reevaluating merchandising strategy and reducing customer irritants."

All of the mall's major construction work will be performed during off-hours, according to management.

Bisenius emphasized that changes to the mall are being made with the customer in mind.

"White Marsh Mall has been an integral part of the neighborhood for more than 30 years. Our goal is to enhance the shopping experience for all our customers by providing fresh and exciting merchants, restaurants and amenities," she said in a statement. "We look forward to many positive changes to our center in order to meet the increasing demands of our shoppers. But we never forget our roots and the reason that we have been around for 30 years—and that is our loyal customer."

I agree with the updates! As for the person who thought BosCov's was sooooo expensive, she must have been shopping in a different store than White Marsh. Good changes mean continued growth!

Reading these posts took me on an emotional rollercoaster. As the parent of a high school teacher, I could tell you stories that would make your heads spin. My son never wanted to be a policeman, but it's a huge part of his job nowadays. Respect is taught at home! To give credit where credit is deserved, let me say that some parents are doing their jobs. Yet, witnessing some parents behavior, you know exactly why the kids are the way they are. Rude, cruel & disrespectful behavior comes in ALL ages, colors & economic situations. And lastly, while I'm still able to keep in mind the REAL problems of the day, I'll just say this, "FUR SALON"????? You've got to be kidding!
