Lockheed Martin to Host Cleanup Meeting

The meeting, set for 5 p.m. Wednesday at Marshy Point Nature Center, will outline the corporation's latest plans to correct environmental mistakes of the past.

 

Lockheed Martin Corp. will host a public information session on Wednesday to update the community on its latest environmental cleanup efforts at its Middle River facility. 

The meeting, set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at , will include information on Lockheed Martin's proposed path forward for the cleanup of sediments in Dark Head Cove and Cow Pen Creek.

The will offer the public an opportunity to talk one-on-one with the corporation’s technical experts. A formal presentation of the proposed plans, followed by a question and answer session, will begin at 7 p.m.

The cleanup efforts come as a way for Lockheed Martin to correct mistakes of the past when chemicals were improperly disposed of decades ago.
