Franklin Square Hospital Gets Grant for more than $12K

The money comes from the Cardinal Health Foundation and targets improving patient safety.

Franklin Square Hospital Center has been awarded a grant for more than $12,000 from the Cardinal Health Foundation, the hospital announced Thursday. The Cardinal Health E3 Grant Program has distributed $1.2 million in grants in amounts ranging from $10,000 to $42,000 to 39 health organizations to promote projects that will improve patient care.

Franklin Square is initiating a project to improve the communication skills of operating room teams through a training system developed by the the Department of Defense and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

This grant is going to support all three phases of the project – site assessment, which begins in May, training and monitoring.
