Eastpoint Getting New Grocery Store
Pennsylvania-based Redner's supermarket chain will open a new store at the former Shoppers Food site at Eastpoint Mall.
A growing supermarket chain based in Pennsylvania will begin work next month to convert the old Shoppers Food grocery at Eastpoint Mall to a new full-service food market, an official at Redner’s Markets Inc. confirmed this week.
The opening of the new store is expected in summer 2012, said Eric B. White, consumer communications specialist at Reading, PA-based Redner’s. When opened, the store will be the fourth Redner’s store in Maryland. Redner's currently has 36 other large supermarkets in eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, White said.
