Hosted by Baltimore County Office of Tourism and Promotion and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Baltimore County Restaurant Week "allows diners to discover new restaurants and enjoy old favorites at a discounted price," according to a press release.

Marjorie Hampson, the director of Baltimore County Office of Tourism and Promotion, says Baltimore County restaurants understand that they should not compete with the city's restaurant week, so for the past six years, the city and county host theirs at different times during the "slow months" of August and January.

Restaurant week is a chance for people to "get some good meals and deals," she says. "The prices have all been discounted and there is a special menu at most restaurants."

For 17 days, you can dine at any of the 52 participating restaurants throughout Baltimore County that will offer fixed-price, one-to-three course lunch and dinner menus for $15.13 to $35.13.

Participating restaurants include 7 West Bistro Grille in Towson, Bluestone Restaurant in Timonium, Dimitri's International Grille in Catonsville and more.
