Lockheed Martin to Host Cleanup Meeting

Lockheed Martin will host a public informational meeting to discuss its proposed groundwater treatment plans for Martin State Airport.

The meeting, to take place at the Marshy Point Nature Center, is the latest in the company's ongoing effort to inform the community about its of the airport and the Middle River complex.

The site has dealt with significant environmental pollution caused by poor disposal procedures of chemicals during the company's early years dating back to World War II.

The meeting will start at 5 p.m. with an informal meet-and-greet session where people can have their specific questions answered.

Then at 7 p.m., Lockheed Martin will reveal a formal presentation on its cleanup efforts moving forward before taking additional questions from those in the audience.
