Maryland Lottery, Ravens Team Up On Scratch-Off Game

By Bryan P. Sears

A new Maryland State Lottery scratch-off game gives Baltimore Ravens fans a chance to win cash and maybe some jewelry inspired by the team’s Super Bowl rings.

The gaming agency announced Monday it is now selling Champions, a $2 scratch-off ticket. The game represents the fifth consecutive year that the state lottery and the Ravens have teamed up.

Players can win up to $25,000 instantly. Ten other winners will receive replica championship rings and necklaces inspired by the Ravens Super Bowl ring.

Non-winning tickets can be entered into a second-chance drawing for a chance to receive 2014 season tickets.

The scratch-off tickets will be sold before every Ravens home game this season and are also available at more than 4,400 lottery retailers around the state.

In February, Beth Bunch, a Dundalk resident, entered three losing tickets in a second-chance drawing and won Ravens season tickets for life. Bunch’s entry was selected out of nearly 137,000 sent in for the season ticket drawing.
