Afternoon tea and colonial crafter at Ballestone

Ballestone Stanbury House

 

The Summer Sundays program at the Ballestone Stansbury House resumes each Sunday in August from 2-5PM.  You are invited to tour the home, enjoy afternoon tea and visit with a colonial era craft or trade person.

Afternoon tea will be available on the lower portico of the home. Enjoy homemade scones served with sweet cream and lemon curd. Reservations are encouraged but not required, $7.00 adults, $3.00 children.

The Ballestone Stansbury House will be open from 2-5PM. Guides in period clothing will provide tours and interpret everyday life in the home.  The newly refurbished gift shop will be open. Donation for the house tour is $4.00 adults, $1.00 children under age 11. For additional information, or to make reservations for afternoon tea, please call Cas at 410-686-5821.

Constructed in 1780 the Ballestone Stansbury House, on Back River Neck Road in Essex, has been meticulously preserved and provides an excellent example of 18th and 19th century life.
