Commemorative Air Force

The Commemorative Air Force is flying into Middle River on May 21, 22 and 23 and tours of its aircraft, $10 for adults, children 12 and under free, are  available Monday 1-3pm and Tuesday and Wednesday 9am - 5pm.  Rides are also being offered, with details on ticket prices on the CAF website www.commemorativeairforce.org. The opportunity to experience World War II history with a flight on a B-24 is being offered thanks to the generosity of the Commemorative Air Force and its providing the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum a flight seat during the CAF's visit to Martin State Airport. The Museum is holding a raffle that will provide one lucky winner a ride on the B-24 Liberator Diamond Lil, one of three historic aircraft of the Commemorative Air Force to visit Martin State Airport. The B-24 ride will take place on May 22 or 23 at 3pm, date dependent on the CAF's passenger schedule. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and are available at the Museum located at Martin State Airport in Hangar 5 and can be purchased during public visiting hours on May 18 and 19, 11am to 3pm. The drawing will take place on Saturday, May 19 at 3pm at the Museum. The raffle will benefit the Museum in its mission of preserving and exhibiting Maryland's aviation and aerospace history while the ride on the B-24 provides someone with a very memorable aviation experience. The Museum will be open during the CAF visit, providing the aviation enthusiasts the opportunity to see the Museum's new exhibit "They Answered the Call", honoring the 1940's employees of the Glenn L. Martin Company.
