The tornado warning went into effect due to storm activity near Essex.

The National Weather Service said it issued a tornado warning for southeastern Baltimore County and eastern Baltimore City Friday after a storm capable of producing a tornado was spotted at 2:10 p.m. near Back River.

The warning expired at 2:30 p.m. after the storm left the area, according to the National Weather Service, which had said Dundalk, Easpoint, Turner Station, Back River and Essex were areas that could have possibly been impacted.

A flood warning is in effect for Baltimore City and Baltimore County until 4:15 p.m., with flooding in low-lying areas possible, according to the weather service.
