Local Students Awarded Scholarships
Three CCBC Essex students from Bowleys Quarters receive $1,000 each from the Essex Middle River Civic Council.
Three college students from Bowleys Quarters were award a $1,000 scholarship each from the Essex Middle River Civic Council (EMRCC).
The winners—Bethany Anderson, Paige Sullivan, Kelsey Baker and Tracy Subrinitz—are all students at CCBC Essex.
Anderson, 18, is a member of the and teams and is majoring in health and fitness with the hopes of becoming a physical therapy assistant.

Sullivan, 18, is majoring in early childhood education. Baker, 18, is a general studies major who plans to transfer to UMBC to study to be a social worker.
Zubrinitz, 25, is a nursing major who wants to eventually become a obstectrics nurse. Zubrinitz and Anderson both graduated from while Sullivan and Baker graduated from .

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must live in the Essex-Middle River area and be a student at one of the CCBC campuses, EMRCC president Rocky Jones said.
