Gallery: Springtime in Essex

A recent "road cruise" through Essex resulted in some beautiful photos of the signs of spring.

On a gray and dreary day here in Essex, I thought I'd bring a little sunshine to the day by sharing some photographs I took on a recent drive through the Back River peninsula in search of signs for spring.

In my travels, I found many beautiful flowering trees, private gardens that have been lovingly planted and maintained and county parks looking freshly trimmed and colorful with ornamental trees in full bloom.

I also got a kick out of a large-mouthed bass mailbox spotted on Barrison Point Road.
