Budweiser Clydesdales Visit The Avenue

Famous beer mascot got up close and personal with White Marsh shoppers.

Eight of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales made their way through Baltimore this weekend, including a stop Friday at The Avenue in White Marsh.

The Clydesdales came to Maryland in three large tractor trailers from a stable located near the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack, NH. Dozens of people posed for pictures with the horses at The Avenue and learned a little more about them besides being in beer commercials.

Handlers of the horses said they grow to be around 18 hands tall and weigh more than 2,000 pounds. Clydesdales also drink 30 gallons of water, 50 pounds of hay and 10-12 pounds of oats a day.
