Lockheed Martin to Host Cleanup Meeting

Lockheed Martin Corporation will host a public information session on Wednesday, Jan. 18 to provide information on its proposed path forward for the cleanup of sediments in Dark Head Cove and Cow Pen Creek at the Middle River Complex.
Lockheed Martin also will discuss its proposal to form a Sediments Working Group with interested community members. An informal greet-and-visit will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. and will offer an opportunity to talk one-on-one with the corporation’s technical experts.
A formal presentation of the proposed plans, followed by questions and answers, will begin at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Marshy Point Nature Center, 7130 Marshy Point Road.

More About Marshy Point Nature Center
The Marshy Point Nature Center is located on part of the 500 acres of Marshy Point Park. The center offers exhibits, classrooms, an auditorium, a canoe dock and an outdoor picnic area for those visiting. In addition, the center hosts programs, special events, activities, educational courses and camps throughout the year. The Marshy Point Park is open to the public for hiking, bird watching and just enjoying nature.
