Historic Aircraft MakeOver

The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum, 701 Wilson Point Rd, Middle River, MD | Get Directions »
$3.00

A transformation has occurred at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum's flightline as its 1952 Martin      4-O-4  airliner has received a 60 year make over, receiving a fresh coat of paint and a new  logo to transform it into a resemblance of the prototypes that rolled out of the Middle River Martin Aircraft plant.  This Martin 404 seating forty passengers and a crew of three was donated to the Museum in 2000 and flew from California into Martin State Airport to the Museum's flightline. Thanks to the generous support of the MS2 Division of Lockheed Martin which made this rebirth of the iconic airliner possible, the Museum's 404 appears ready for an excursion to an East coast city, much as it did in its commercial heyday. The aircraft can be seen during a visit to the Museum Wednesday through Saturday from 11am - 3pm, weather permitting. For admission and additional information, call 410-682-6122 or visit www.mdairmuseum.org.
