Aviation Museum Salutes Veterans Day

On Saturday, November 10 from 11 to 2pm, the Museum will celebrate Veterans Day. Throughout the event, veterans stories will be shared, including a story presented by veteran Fred Hall sharing his experiences with the Berlin Airlift. The story of E.E. Harmon and his participation in the Round the Rim Flight of a Martin bomber in 1919, which was done to test the reliability of the aircraft, will be brought to life by one of the Museum's actors as part of the series of programs celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Martin Company.

More About The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum
The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum is located inside Martin State Airport in Hangar 5 just off of Wilson Point Road. Among the aircraft on display at the museum's outdoor flightline is the Lockheed Shooting Star, the A-7D Corsair, the F-4 Phantom and a 1952 Martin 404 passenger airliner built by the Glenn L. Martin Company. Exhibits include "They Answered the Call," honoring WWII workers at the Glenn L. Martin Company. There are exhibits on Lockheed, the Maryland Air National Guard and Glenn L. Martin. Educational programs are available for teachers and youth group leaders in search of field trip experiences. Discover eastern Baltimore County's rich heritage with a visit to the Museum.
