IKEA Baltimore Customers donate over $1,300 worth of toys to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital

The  IKEA Baltimore Store  has identified Johns Hopkins Bayview Children’s Programs as a recipient of a soft toy donation since 2010. “Our customers  as well as co-workers are encouraged to purchase these soft toys from our children’s department and drop them off at a donation bin past our cash lanes”, says Bill Meiswinkel, Public Relations Manager from the IKEA Baltimore store. “So far, our customers have donated over $1,300 worth of soft toys to the hospital this year alone. On top of that, IKEA still donates $1 to UNICEF and Save the Children programs for each soft toy purchased until December 29th”, added Meiswinkel.

This holiday season give a gift that keeps on giving by helping to improve children’s education and contributing to our local and  global communities in a socially responsible way.  A gift that gives back will mean so much to your loved one when they find out your special choice also helps someone in need.

Selected soft toys will be 50% off for a limited time. Now you can buy a toy for a child at a great price and help another child locally and around the world!
