Homan Returns to Work
County Administrative Officer Fred Homan is back on the job nearly a month after a fall from a horse hospitalized him at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center.
Homan's return was confirmed in an email from Don Mohler, a county spokesman and chief of staff to County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.
"Fred is at work today," wrote Mohler in response to my quesition about Homan's rumored return. "It's great to have him back."
Homan was back briefly for a visit last week.
During his convalescence, Homan was temporarily replaced by county Budget and Finance Director Keith Dorsey.
It's not immediately known if that means Homan will take his usual place at the table for tonight's County Council meeting. Odds are it will be Homan, not Dorsey, sitting there when the council convenes at 6 p.m.
"I don't think Fred understands the concept of 'light' work," Mohler wrote.

It's all about who you know. My question to Mr. Homan is are you going to waste more of our tax money playing games with the ADA with your endless appeals?
There are 14 more cases out there. You going to appeal, appeal and appeal all of those to Mr. Homan.
Must be nice to come back to a job that you denied so many others. But then again what would you expect from county politics.
Are you going to be forthcoming with what happened out there on that horse.
I think we have a right to know since you choose to force people to provide their medical records, or is it a double standard.
That is why there is no leadership in the county, except when there is a photo-op of Kamenetz in a Bob Cat.
What the article failed to inform the citizens of this county is who is paying for this revitalization at the worst possible time?
The county will float more bonds and our debt will rise just like in our national arena.
I guess a good photo-op is worth millions. The question is just how many millions.
I would love to find out how many bonds are still out there and what our debt is now.
I guess I'll to go back and take another look at the budget. They can't play games with those figures.
