Police Investigating Second Robbery at Royal Farms

The store, located on the 600 block of Mace Avenue, has been held up twice in the last three weeks, police said.

Baltimore County police are looking for a man who attempted to rob an Essex Royal Farms store Wednesday night.

Police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said a man entered the store, located on the 600 block of Mace Avenue, at about 11:55 p.m., implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the store clerk.

When the clerk refused the man's demands, he ran out of the store in an unknown direction, Batton said. She added that county police utilized its helicopter to assist in the search, but were unsuccessful.

Batton said the man is described as white, between 20-25 years old, 5-foot-5, 160 pounds with brown hair. That description is similar to the one employees gave police for a previous armed robbery at the same store that took place at about the same time of night on March 13.

But, Batton said, it is unclear at this time if the cases are releated.
